Amanda Ballinger

Amanda Ballinger is a graduate of California State University Northridge with her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Arts. Under multiple teachers, Amanda has learned Bel Canto and Speech Level techniques which have allowed her to become a versatile performer and teacher. She has performed roles such as Despina from “Cosi fan tutte,” Musetta in “La Boheme,” Annina in “La Traviata,” and Mrs. Greta Fiorentino in “Street Scene.” Amanda made her European debut as Genovieffa in “Suor Angelica,” where she also trained with world class coaches and teachers. Though her specialty is Opera, she has performed Musical Theater, Jazz, and Pop in various venues and shows. Some of these venues include Sterling's Upstairs at the Federal, The Granada Theatre in Santa Barbara, and the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza. As a teacher Amanda strives to bring her passion for music into lessons, catering to the needs of each student as an individual. No matter their goals, Amanda hopes to help her students achieve their full potential. Her goal as a teacher is to create an environment where the student is happy, learns healthy technique, and leaves with a positive experience.
